About Us

The collaborative process offers separating couples an inter-disciplinary way of dealing with separation during a very stressful and challenging time in their lives. It is a process that is safe and supportive that helps to protect the dignity, integrity, and long-term best interests of all family members.

In the Collaborative process, separating couple and their lawyers agree to work together at resolving the issues without going to court.

This approach is based on a team effort - where you, your lawyers and other professionals where appropriate, work together to resolve whatever is in dispute - whether it relates to support, division of assets or parenting of the children. You have available to you specially trained lawyers, child specialists and financial advisors who can form the team as needed.

The process requires both spouses to participate in good faith and with integrity to resolve the issues arising from the separation.

We are very fortunate to have a dedicated and highly skilled group of professionals in Peel and Halton who are committed to offering this revolutionary way of dealing with separation and divorce. These lawyers, child and financial specialists, offer an approach that can reduce the emotional and financial costs that too often can result from separations.

You can turn your loss into gain. You have a group of professionals ready to guide and support you in achieving a "win/win" resolution of the issues arising from your separation.
