Online Collaborative Family Practice Training Opportunity

Collaborative Practice offers Family Law practitioners the ability to advance their client’s matters (and their practices) without reliance on the courts and using modern technology to hold settlement meetings even as clients and lawyers remain “sheltered in place.”

To respond to the ongoing pandemic challenge and to provide more lawyers the opportunity to use Collaborative Practice to resolve their cases, the Ontario Association of Collaborative Professionals (OACP) is pleased to provide a SECOND collaborative training through on-line learning.
This May and June, OACP‘s experienced collaborative trainers are offering lawyers, as well as family and financial professionals, an opportunity to acquire their 35 hours of Basic Collaborative Interdisciplinary Training online in a part-time 4-week program.  Our May training SOLD OUT. We now have a waiting list for our next training!
Equipped with the enhanced skills offered by this training and membership in a local Collaborative Practice Group, family lawyers and other professionals will be able to energize and expand their practices to offer client-focused negotiations in a team approach.  To address demand, our second online session will commence on Tuesday June 2, again, with training hours responsive to participants’ work schedules. While additional online training sessions are planned, this second session is confirmed and offers an immediate opportunity for training while the courts remain closed.
The second collaborative training course will be offered over four (4) consecutive weeks in June, from Tuesday June 2 to Thursday June 25 with each session running from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm with an hour of outside reading or homework between or following these weekly sessions.
