Suzanne has practiced family law, including collaborative family law, both in New York City and in Ontario. Prior to moving to Canada, Suzanne was a human rights lawyer in the US Legal Department at the Center for Reproductive Rights. As a family lawyer in NYC, she represented clients in contested, uncontested, and collaborative family law matters. She has negotiated successful settlements on behalf of clients and, when necessary, litigated complicated matters through to trial. Upon moving to Ontario, Suzanne completed family mediation training at York University before returning to practice family law. She also volunteered with the Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network, assisting with its human rights advocacy.

Through her experience in family law and her background as a human rights advocate, Suzanne has developed a deep understanding of the emotional impact divorce takes on all involved. Suzanne takes special care to develop a unique strategy to make sure that every client’s immediate and long-term needs are met. Her unique background and experience allows Suzanne to find dynamic solutions for even the most complicated of cases.

Suzanne graduated from Harvard Law School in 2002 and is a member of the New York Bar and the Law Society of Ontario. She is a trained Collaborative Family Lawyer and a member of the Hamilton-Halton Collaborative Practice Group and Peel Halton Collaborative Practice Group.

Suzanne is also active in the Oakville community and serves on the board of Sexual Assault Intervention Services (SAVIS) of Halton.
