David R. Murch, Esq. is a collaborative attorney in private practice with 30 years of experience. David has a strong background in settlement negotiation and collaborative law. He has been active in the Collaborative Law Association of the Rochester Area, Inc., since it was formed in 2001, and he a past-President and current Board member. One of the early lessons learned, was that law school doesn’t teach lawyers much about conflict resolution, outside the court system. Superior listening skills, learning what the client needs, expressing those needs effectively and with creativity, produce the best result for the client and the professional. David has participated as a trainer locally and nationally and works collaboratively in the areas of divorce, adoption and estate matters.
Suzanne L. Brunsting, Esq. is an experienced matrimonial and family law attorney, was the first president of the Collaborative Law Association of the Rochester Area (CLARA), and has been instrumental in founding this western New York organization of collaborative lawyers, mental health professionals, mediator/facilitators and financial specialists. Involved in Introductory and Advanced Collaborative Law trainings, Sue is dedicated to helping professionals learn about the process so that they can support clients as they separate and divorce respectfully.
Donna Maier, CDFA Donna M. Maier is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, working with individuals who are faced with the issues of divided marital assets and altered cash flow due to divorce. She has been involved in many collaborative trainings, locally and on a national level, and worked on hundreds of collaborative
cases. Donna is a member of the IACP and past president and board member of the Collaborative Law Association of the Rochester Area (CLARA).
John Sobraske, LMHC, LMFT is an experienced psychotherapist with nearly twenty years in the field. His training focused on family systems, object relations, psychoanalysis and attachment, and he is an expert in adoption. His practice includes work with children and adults, couples and families, including those facing divorce. Difficult foster and adoption cases provided an introduction to the complex interaction of psychology and law. John strongly believes that the legal process can benefit from an informed psychological perspective and the application of psychotherapeutic skills to conflict. This led John to become intensively involved in Collaborative Law where he regularly works as a neutral coach and facilitator.
