Settlement Advocacy – What Does It Look Like In Practice?

A Summer BBQ and Dinner Presentation on Thursday, June 26, 2014

‘Diagnosing’ the advocacy our client needs and delivering customized advocacy to each client requires a sophisticated level of theory, skills, self-awareness and practice. Having a preferred advocacy ‘style’ is not strategic and may not be effective. So how do we know what advocacy our clients need and how do we provide that? How do we advocate for our client and maintain positive working relationships with our colleagues and the other spouse? How do we reconcile interests and the law? How can neutrals support effective advocacy?

Through a Q+A with a panel of lawyers and neutrals, let’s learn about the meaning and challenges of settlement advocacy.
